Community Cultural Development Fund (Australia Council for the Arts)

This aims to enable communities to advance their artistic and social aspirations by working closely with professional artists and to:

Achieve an increase in locally determined arts and cultural development

Encourage outstanding achievement in arts and cultural activity in a community context

Encourage diversity of cultural expression at a local, national and international level
-
Ensure that the artistic and social value of the community cultural development is widely accepted
|

Proposals are encouraged from communities who have restricted access to cultural development opportunities as a result of geographical, social or economic factors.

This provides online access via the internet to Australia's cultural resources, activities and events, and assists the cultural community to adopt new means of providing access to their collections and exhibitions. It attracts 40,000 visits a year, has published more than 150 articles listed 1300 websites and includes over 200 current events in the calendar at any one time.
